Alrighty…thanks guys for the tattoo love!
The tattoo shop I went to is called “Blue Crow Tattoo.” There isn’t a website or facebook so don’t bother. If you have been in Seoul and know hongdae area nightlife at all it is super easy to find. If not…when you get here just ask about the following things in bold:
From Hongdae exit 9: Go to the HONGDAE UNIVERSITY GATE (huge building that makes a giant archway over the road leading into the campus…no real gate in site). Im sure you can find those directions on your own. Next, cross the street with your back to the gate and go l onto the uphill road. THE PARK will be on your left. Cut through the park and exit near the bathrooms. Down a few stairs and walk straight. If it is during the day, BAR EXIT will be closed and there isn’t a sign (no need to wonder…yes it is the chosen hipster bar of hongdae). But right above it on the right you will see a large sign for “Blue Crow Tattoo” and the entrance is around the side of the building.
Overall I am very please with my newest tattoo. However, I would advise you ask for anyone but the owner, Lee Rang. I was tattooed by the owner and two others who were apprentices I assume. The girl there is awesome! I want to go to her next. Because my latest tattoo was free and for publicity (Some documentary crew thing…which I am hoping isn’t going to turn out to be some special on why tattooing is evil and only foreigners are dumb enough to do it, but we shall see) the owner did most of my tattoo. For the harder parts he had the female tattoo artist tattoo me 0_o. Her name ends in “shi” but I forgot the first part :/. Anywayssss it was free and a design I picked so I love it just fine, just don’t go to him. ^^
It was very similar to American tattoo shops. They used new needles, cleaned all the equipment, wore gloves. They didn’t wrap my tattoo but thats about it. Oh, and they played a lovely mix of American hip hop and semi BA Kpop songs which I’m sure none of you will mind. kk I heard Big Bang’s “Bad Boy” about 10 times. No complaints.
Never get tattooed twice in two days. Pain. Aside from some line issues I love ittttt! #hongdae #vintage #seoul #tattoo #korea (Taken with Instagram at Blue Crow Tattoo)
Looks a little rough right now but it will be better tomorrow with color and shading. Nothing like trying to calm your nerves with a video camera in your face. #korea #tattoo #vintage #seoul #hongdae (Taken with Instagram at Blue Crow Tattoo)

WAAA!Tuning In Space Noise For Sounds Of Life
Earlier this month, NASA’s Kepler Mission announced it had found 54 planets orbiting stars in so-called “habitable zones” in our galaxy, where the climate could be suitable for liquid water.
After the planets were found, NASA alerted the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) of their locations. The institute’s scientists started listening to those planets, and while they haven’t heard any intelligent life yet, there’s plenty of other noise to be heard in space.
