Dongmyo Vintage Market
I’ve found my latest shopping-water hole, in a rather unexpected place; subway station Dongmyo (dark blue line 1, exit 3). It’s a vintage/second-hand market where you literally can find everything.

The area is rather big and one can easily spend half a day walking around the shops and stands. People who come there are of all sorts; fashionistas and shop owners looking for unique pieces to their collections, but also ajussis and ajummas wanting to make bargains for kitchen appliances or other electronic gadgets.

Just like most second-hand markets, it takes some energy to look around, just because of the fact that there is so much of everything – both priceless and useless things. There are musical instruments, clothes, accessories, and all sorts of interesting one-of-a-kind’s – but there are also half used body lotion bottles and piles of copied Korean 70’s CDs for sale, so it takes a bit of effort to find the hidden goodies.

Luckily, if you don’t have much time or much patience, you might just as well find something if you are prepared to pay just a little bit more. Apart from the stands, there are also some shops to keep your eyes open for. They take advantage of the draw of the market, but find the treasures for you, so in these shops it’s much easier to find the latest trends or quality clothing.

I made a little video so that you can see what it’s like (sorry about the low sound)!
